What do I mean with SUDOKU3D? ----------------------------- Look at an ordinary SUDOKU, visualize all the number ones in layer one, all twos in layer two and so on. You don't really need the numbers, what layer the object is in is enough. Now! All those layers makes a perfect CUBE. What if all views of this CUBE are a perfect SUDOKU? We have SUDOKU3D! The rules are simple, in every plane there is one object in each line and one in each region. But a CUBE is hard to view on the screen. With a new rule there is a good projection of the CUBE to a SQUARE. If we give the digits three different colors (123 black, 456 blue and 789 red), the new rule is: there must be three different colors in each of a regions lines.
Something about how to use this Game! ------------------------------------- Clear! Erases all the digits. View! A new window with a copy of the SUDOKU (snapshot of the real board). Stop! Stops: Solve, Create or Reduce. Unique Solve! Checks if a hard level only has one solution. Hard Solve! To solve hard levels. Easy Solve! To solve easy levels, they are always unique. Create Full! Creates a SUDOKU with 81 digits. Hard Reduce! Reduces a SUDOKU to a hard unique SUDOKU, if it is possible. Easy Reduce! Reduces a SUDOKU to an easy SUDOKU. Five numbers: real digit count, reduce loop, hard solve loop (red during the search for the second solution), easy solve loop and visible digit count. Choice of method for the Reduce. Symmetry and Repeat will only work if you start with 81 digits on the board. Some Samples. Easy blue and hard red. You can roll the CUBE left, up, right and down. Save! and Restore! are used to temporary save and restore the board.
